Hermain Cain

Herman Cain is serious about running for president. On his website hermancain.com, he states: "The American Dream is under attack. In fact, a recent survey found 67% of the American People believe America is headed in the wrong direction. Sadly, this comes as no surprise to those of us who have watched an out-of-control federal government that spends recklessly, taxes too much and oversteps its Constitutional limits far too often."

He is ceratinaly right on the money with that statement. Does Cain have a real chance at being president? Perhaps not in 2012, but one needs to make a start somewhere. There is also the possibility of being named to a position in a Republican administration, something that always looks good on a resume.

Herman Cain did give a great speech at the American Policy Summit hosted by the Tea Party Patriots. The theme of his speech was that we are awake and fighting for America, as he laid out ideas of how to put America back on the path to prosperity. One of his remarks that got the most applause was when he declared: "We are an exceptional nation and we are going to keep it that way! Mediocre is not in our DNA!"  Here is a link to his speech: Click Here.

Ann Hits the Nail on the Head Again!

Ann Coulter has hit the nail on the head in her Feb. 23, 2011 article, "LOOK FOR THE UNION FABLE". In part, she writes:

"The good news out of Wisconsin is that public school students' test scores skyrocketed last week, mystifying educators. The bad news is many student-teacher love affairs were hard-hit without access to janitors' closets and locker rooms.

Democrats are acting as if Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's demand that public sector employees give up collective bargaining would have George Washington rolling in his grave (a clear violation of Gravediggers' Local 803 regulations concerning the rolling of the dead).
In fact, government employees should never, ever be allowed to organize.

The need for a union comes down to this question: Do you have a boss who wants you to work harder for less money? In the private sector, the answer is yes. In the public sector, the answer is a big, fat NO."

Turnabout is Fair Play

By Forrest White

After years of seeing the iron fisted control of Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of their ilk up in Washington, it is nice to see them get a dose of their own medicine down on the State level.

According to FOX6Now.com, the fourteen Democrat senators who flew the coop like cowards are being threatened with recalls and having their paychecks withheld because they have been in hiding. The senators have been gone for five days, and the pressure is ramping up for the Democrats to return. Reports are that a group out of Utah has filed paperwork to recall some of them, and the Senate passed a measure withholding paychecks from absent lawmakers.

The Democrats and their union thug partners in crime are all about the money, so this may well shake things up. More to come, no doubt.

Tone? That's only for Conservatives

Didn't President Obama recently promise to begin a new era of bipartisan cooperation? Didn't President Obama recently say that he heard the American people say they want both sides to work together? Well, that didn't last long, now did it. As Fox News commentator and radio talk show host Monica Crowley states in her most recent article:

"After the Tucson shooting, when his side went wild blaming conservative "talk" and the "tone" of political discourse for the actions of a lone, deranged maniac, Obama gave a speech extolling the virtues of "civility." He urged a change in "tone." He was, as he always is, focusing us on appearances. That's his way of distracting us from the actual substance of policy debates, because in a center-right nation, liberalism constantly loses those debates. If you're focused on "tone," you're not focused on the vast philosophical differences that separate the right from the left on policy. You're also not focused on the fact that the left's "solutions" over the past two years---ever-greater spending, government intervention in nearly every facet of the economy, brand-new massive entitlements---have failed. Utterly. That's why he wants you focused on 'tone.'

Well, it didn't take long for the left to throw 'tone' right out the window. Wisconsin, like most other states, is broke. There is no money. The new Republican governor, Scott Walker, proposed a bill to take on the unions head-on. The bill would strip most government workers of collective bargaining rights. Ohio Governor John Kasich has proposed the same thing, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has taken on the powerful state teachers' union and hasn't backed down. Public sector unions are bankrupting this country. Between ever-higher wages and huge negotiated pension and benefits packages, the costs of public workers are pushing states over the edge. These governors have no choice. They've got to bust the unions, renegotiate the union contracts, and move forward with far less generous packages for public employees. It's so bad that even liberal governors of liberal states are acknowledging the need to move in this direction. See: California's governor Jerry Brown and New York's governor Andrew Cuomo. States (like the federal and local governments) simply cannot go on like this. There is no money."

On the top of the Democrats’ “Guess who's being overpaid” list are always the evil capitalist CEO's, Wall Street brokers, bankers, hedge fund managers, and other high-ranking officers of large corporations. The truth, on the other hand, is a different story. Those people are not overpaid; their salaries are market driven as all salaries should be.  What is most interesting about how Democrats decry the salaries of CEO's is that they never seem to decry the earnings of Hollywood stars, pop musicians, and the like. Media are people who earn millions by producing what are for the most part worthless goods (and that is being generous). CEO's generally run companies that create goods and services and therefore enhance the economy, and yet those are the people that Democrats rail against. But the Hollywood elite and the rappers & musicians who make millions by producing the sludge & filth that permeates our society? They are off of the liberal's radar screen.

It is time for Liberals to allow the market to decide salaries. If a CEO of a company is successful, he will reap the rewards, and if a CEO of a company is up to no good, it will come to light. If a teacher performs well, they should be compensated, and if a teacher performs badly they should be fired. Let performance and results be the guide to who succeeds in America, not the Liberal’s list of who should and who should not succeed.

Neville Chamberlain is Alive and Well

Dr. Robert A. Morey in "Will Islam Cause WWIII?" writes: "We stand in some ways like those few brave Americans and Europeans who just before World War II warned people of the Nazi threat to world peace. They took the rhetoric of Hitler at face value and saw the buildup of war and terrorism across the world. While others dismissed Hitler and his 'brown shirts' as buffoons, a few people sounded the alarm. Sad to say, their warnings were ignored. "Peace in our time" was Chamberlain's swan song and the world was lulled to sleep while the Third Reich armed itself for war."

Iran is always after "street credibility" with the surrounding Arab states, and their sending of warships through the Suez Canal may be simply more of the same, or it may be an omen of worse things to come. The unfortunate fact is, whenever an enemy pushes too far and Israel makes good on its warnings to go no farther the worldwide press demonizes Israel. There is a distinct possibility that Iran is actually counting on Israel intercepting its ships, thereby causing the press and world opinion to turn against Israel, and ultimately making it easier to attack Israel in the end.

The biggest mistake we can make now is to ignore the capability that they Iranians currently developing, which our president seems perfectly willing to do. Our president is more interested in attacking the governors of Arizona and Wisconsin then attacking Iran's nuclear development program. Just as Chamberlain's naivte cost Great Brittain millions of lives and untold suffering, Obama's naivte - and that of his supporters - will cost Israel and America millions of lives and untold suffering in the end.

School yanks religious discrimination definition

Ah yes, the anti-Christian forces are at work once again. While the Muslims are praised around the world as lovers of democracy, Christians here at home are charachterized as oppressors of non-Christians. Charlie Butts from OneNewsNow writes:

"The University of California-Davis agreed today to either revise or eliminate its definition of "religious discrimination" that characterized Christians as oppressors of non-Christians. Alliance Defense Fund reports that in a letter received from the school Wednesday, UC Davis reported that the webpage containing a glossary of terms defining the Principles of Community "has been taken down to permit further review" -- and that if the glossary returns, "this definition will be appropriately revised."

So Long Junior, We Hardly Knew Ya'

By Forrest White

Do things ever really change? A Democrat President with a Democrat controlled Congress has managed to bring unemployment up to record levels and make minced meat out of our foreign policy and national security. Jimmy Carter you say? No, it is Mubarak Obama and his gang of Chicago imbeciles. Politics they know, but governing they have no idea about. This was all predicted by yours truly two years ago. In knew that within two years Obama's true colors would shine forth, and the GOP would be making a come back. In two more years sanity will hopefully return to government, and then we must go about the business of cleaning up the mess created by the worst president in history. Itn will be hard, but American usually do very well in times if peril. Yes, Mubarak Obama still has two more year to go in office, but rest assured, he is as good as gone already. So long Jimmy Junior, we hardly knew ya'.
